Logging into the Hawaii State Public Library System
In previous lessons we learned to access the Library System we need a program called Telnet. Before accessing the the Library System we have to log in to a site called Hawaii FYI. Choosing the number 9 in the Hawaii FYI menu, we are now ready to log in to the Library System.
Logging on to the Libraray System is similar to logging into Hawaii FYI. The commands are self explanatory as you will see.
After choosing the number 9 from the Hawaii FYI menu, the next window will appear.

We are still in the unix system so the screens will be just text. On the bottom of the screen are the instructions. Remember the word Return means the Enter key.
Pressing the Enter key leads us to the next screen.

We are now ready to log in to the Library System. Reading the instructions we have to type in the island we are on in small letters. It also says if you get the prompt password, you need to start over again.
The Library system allows you access the system for 50minutes.
Because I am on the island of Oahu, I would type in oahu next to login.
