Math Applications (ACCN# MX30, MX40)

This course answers the often-asked question: "Why do we
need to know this?". Students will explore interesting
mathematical topics such as applications of ratio and
proportion in the field of architecture, the mathematics of
measuring the planets, probability in gambling and
insurance, the geometry of biological growth.
