Advanced Placement Computer Science (ACCN# EC90)
1 credit
Prerequisite:
B+ or better in Alg. III/Trig or concurrent enrollment in Trig/Analytical Geometry. The major emphasis in this course is on programming methodology and procedural abstraction. Algorithms, particularly sorting and searching algorithms, are informally compared. Data structures are studied in the context of a computer language's built-in types and structures (e.g., arrays and records). Treatments of computer systems and the social implications of computing are integrated into the course.
